What is ACI?

The Advance Commercial Information (ACI) mandate is a program in which the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) electronically collects pre-arrival information from both the carrier and importer regarding the commodities/parties that enter into Canada.   The information that is collected is used to identify potential health, safety and security threats related to commercial goods before they arrive on Canadian soil.

This is a proactive method of assessing the potential risk of the shipment to Canadian security initiatives, and ensuring the safety of our citizens and environment.
